Nobody really likes the taste or even smell of cigarettes; however you, the smoker, have become immune to that will taste and smell. The non-smoker, however, will notice it though.

 

Look at it like this.  Have you ever smelt someone’s upsetting body odour?  To them it isn’t really noticeable because they are used to this, but to everyone else it is obvious.

Do you remember when you believed in Santa Claus?  Then at Half-dozen or 26 years old a person stopped, well hopefully anyway.  It was a reality you had received for most of your life and abruptly it changed and once you knew the truth you served differently?

 

 Once your mind was modified your behaviour followed.

 

Whenever you reach for a cigarette it is deemed an automatic learned response happening.  You could liken it to driving a vehicle.  Once upon a time it was difficult and gradually over time it became easier and easier and now it happens, immediately. 

 

Smoking was tough to begin with but became easier and easier with time and becoming a non-smoker can be a similar for you.

 

Being a smoker just isn’t rational!  We all know that because of the health risks, it does not make sense to smoke.  Most stop smoking endeavours will tell you about the risks to help health and if smoking ended up being rational, you wouldn’t start in the first place or you would certainly stop when you knew of the danger.

 

Using the NHS the drug nicotine leaves the body within 48 hrs.  So after 48 hours in the event you still crave nicotine?  But some smokers still apply patches or gum to carry on nicotine intake. 

 

Think about this.  Does one treat a chocolate craving with chocolate?  So how could you hope to stop a pure nicotine addiction with nicotine?   

 

One of the hardest things for a smoker to understand and accept is that becoming a non-smoker does not have to be difficult, or even a struggle.  One of the reasons people fight to stop smoking is the habitual style that they have learned over the years plus anything you can learn you’ll be able to relearn. 

 

Think about it do you still make an attempt to stay awake every Holiday eve to try and catch Santa claus delivering your presents, or have you unlearned that behaviour?

 

If you want to become a non-smoker permanently, you really should realize that what is needed is a difference in your way of thinking.

 

A person’s thinking causes your conduct and if you reinforce practices long enough it becomes a practice and then automatically happens.  Just as smoking does.

 

Everything actually is in your mind!
